On this day, at this time, we were filled with pain and sorrow as we witnessed the horrible attack on the Boston Marathon. My feelings of anger, sickness and sorrow have not changed in the past year. What has changed, and grown ever stronger, is the pride I have when I tell people I am from Boston.
The last week has been filled with remembrances and observances, as well as special moments for each and every one of us. But there was no greater victory than being able to stand along the marathon route with family, friends and neighbors, to warm our hearts and souls just as well as the sun shining above us.
We stand together. Stronger than ever.
As a runner who will likely never run a marathon, having been to the Boston area only once, I was riveted and shared in every emotion that I saw. Beautiful pics, dear friend…..

It is heart warming to see these photos. Thank you for sharing:). I noticed on the same day here in Eugene the walking paths were noticeably busy that morning with runners. The spirit of the day was felt all the way in Oregon.
