On this day, at this time, we were filled with pain and sorrow as we witnessed the horrible attack on the Boston Marathon. My feelings of anger, sickness and sorrow have not changed in the past year. What has changed, and grown ever stronger, is the pride I have when I tell people I am from Boston.
The last week has been filled with remembrances and observances, as well as special moments for each and every one of us. But there was no greater victory than being able to stand along the marathon route with family, friends and neighbors, to warm our hearts and souls just as well as the sun shining above us.
We stand together. Stronger than ever.
